Mayor Paul Aronsohn said Lautenberg told him about his time living in the village during an event at the Ridgewood YMCA years ago. At that time, Lautenberg was campaigning for Aronsohn during the mayor's run for Congress in 2006.
Ridgewood officials are exploring having a third-party investigate the business relationship between Councilman Tom Riche's telecommunications firm and the village over the last 15 years.
